FRY fest is a one day ‘Celebration of all that is Hawkeye’ to kick-off the Hawkeye athletic seasons the Friday before the first home football game. With over 20,000 members of Hawkeye Nation in attendance, it has become a tradition for fans to travel to Coralville, Iowa each year to take part in the numerous family-friendly activities. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the City of Coralville with proceeds of the concert and beverage garden going towards Coralville’s Fourth of July Celebrations.
Whether you enjoy a crisp, fall Saturday at historic Kinnick Stadium or exploring the Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty Area, there is one passion shared by many – the University of Iowa Hawkeyes! You can celebrate the previous year’s Hawkeye seasons and immerse yourself in a sea of black and gold at FRY fest.
The 5th Annual FRY fest took place on FRYday, August 30, 2013 and celebrated the fans! It was one hot day, but the true fans didn’t let that stop them from coming on down to see all the day’s activities. Thanks to all who visited the tradeshow, concert, and everything in between!
A big thank you to Eric Dickerson at CoralVision, MidwestOne Bank, the University of Iowa Spirit Squads, and Goodwill for being part of the taping of the official 2013 FRY fest promo video. Relive a little of this year’s celebration of all things Hawkeye!
